My first introduction to yoga was an Ashtanga Yoga workshop at the Y,
back in ~ 1998. I had been a fitness instructor for years; since 1987,
teaching several types of classes, but this yoga workshop blew me
away! I found a modality of movement, that wasn’t just movement, it
was spiritual as well. I loved the combination.
Because I’ve taught both fitness and yoga for years, I have done
many trainings. The yoga specific trainings have been with
wonderful teachers like, Eric Shiffman, Dharma Mitra, Shiva Rea, Desiree
Rumbaugh and John Friend. All of whom
have contributed to a knowledge base that I continue to add
to, because I feel strongly that lifelong studentship is so very nourishing.
And just about a year ago, I completed Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training and now teach Pilates private and group classes. I'm so enjoying the complimentary modalities of yoga and pilates.
I teach a hatha-flow style yoga, influenced by Anusara alignment principles. I am a former Anusara-Inspired teacher and E-RYT 200.
It has been such a blessing to have a job that celebrates health of body, mind and heart for many years. I love seeing the joy in my students
faces when something clicks for them... Grace made manifest. ♡
